A Must-Include for Every Leader

As the executive director of a network of churches, I had a pastor tell me, “You deal with a lot of churches, but you don’t go deep with any of them in particular.” He was right. I replied to him, “If I go deep with every church, then I cannot help many churches.”

When pastors or leaders do a lot of the doing, but don’t really see transformational change in the organization they lead, they often pull on the wrong levers.

In any church (or other organization) there is a myriad…an overwhelming number of things to do. Pastors who do a lot of those things rarely see the organization move forward. By “doing a lot of the doing,” you actually prevent your church from growing and developing.

This week’s video shares one of the key, high-leverage activities I do (and have done) with every organization I have led. It’s not the only one. But, if you miss that, you’ll wonder why things are not progressing.
