People look to leaders who are confident. It’s a trait we expect from our leaders.

Many people wrongly assume the leader looks confident because he/she feels confident. Such is not always the case. I know it’s not always the case, because I don’t always feel confident.

I’ve been surprised when people tell me I appear cool-headed even in excruciating situations. I’m surprised because I don’t feel confident on the inside.

You do build confidence as you gain experience.
