Don’t Rely Totally on Meetings

Most leaders love and enjoy people.

Since people are key to all God wants to do, that’s a great thing.

Unfortunately, if we let “love for people” be our only assessment, we will hinder all God wants to do. The hardest lifts in my ministry and leadership are the emotional ones. And those heart-pulling episodes almost always involve people. If I only follow my heart in dealing with people, I can end up with a lackluster ministry.

Sometimes we only let our relationships be our guide because we do not have any other way to assess how things are going. Jesus did not lean to a particular person’s outlook to determine what needed to be done.

Neither should we.

Today’s video shows another tool all great leaders use. We meet with people, of course. But, without this second tool, we are in danger of not seeing things clearly.
