How to Handle Bad Ideas

Just like water flows downhill, leaders can count on people bringing ideas to them.

Some ideas might bring health and growth.

Unfortunately, most of the ideas people give you fall into one or more categories:

  • would not work well
  • would move the church in a direction it should not go, or
  • would require a lot of energy and resources that would not accomplish kingdom results

So, how do you handle bad ideas?

Today’s video shares a concept I developed in my first ministry that has paid multiple dividends over the years. It hasn’t benefited me monetarily, but it has bestowed better relationships, less emotional angst, and a more peaceful life…for the people bringing the ideas and for me.
