One Impulse Every Leader Must Avoid

Time and time again leaders feel (almost) overwhelmingly compelled to do this.

It is a mistake.

There may be somewhere in the universe where this impulse has worked. But in my 35 years of ministry with hundreds of churches and thousands of leaders I have never seen it work. NOT ONCE.

It’s an unusual phenomenon. It happens inside me. Others face it constantly. It also comes through other people. When brainstorming, too often people relinquish themselves to this impulse.

If you want a ministry that advances Christ’s kingdom, avoid this emotional trap.
